Although this did not alter her personality much, she allows him to call her by her first name, Kanade, and seems to exclusively talk to and hang around him. She recently became friends with Otonashi, even though she didn't realize this until Otonashi said so. She spends portions of her free time gardening. She is actually part of the disbanded gardening club. She is fond of eating Mapo Tofu, even going so far as to ignore school rules to eat it, she also includes it in her self-made school anthem at the close of the series. In Episode 13, Kanade goes as far as to give a small pout. As the series progresses, she shows a little of her emotions, mostly to Otonashi. In later events, she is shown to have abandoned being friendly because of the rules of the world she is in, as her newly-found friends inevitably leave her when they disappear. Her lack of expression also makes it difficult to determine whether or not she has any consciousness, but she is revealed to be rather intelligent, as she was able to make use of the Angel Player program, creating weapons and giving herself monstrous defense mechanisms, even leading the Afterlife War Front to believe she is an angel from God. It is difficult to understand what she is thinking due to her rarely showing any outward emotion. Kanade does not appear to be any less foolish than a typical human being in physical form, but this is contrasted by her lack of detectable emotion, even in skirmishes with the SSS which usually end up with her being injured. After her seeming reincarnation, Kanade is shown with short hair tied in a ponytail. Her eyes appear to be slightly cat eyed and curved up to fit with her mysterious/kuudere vibe and has a very white skin.She wears the standard uniform of the Afterlife School, a skirt over a white petticoat, white knee-high socks, brown loafers and a pale blue barrette clip on the back of her head, which keeps a part of her hair up. Kanade is one of the shortest characters in the series, being only 150 cm (4'11") tall. She also has gold eyes with hints of auburn/brown in certain lighting.
Kanade is a very beautiful girl who has long silver hair, which is often mistaken in the Light Novel to be a shade of blue, that reaches about waist length.
She was also signed with Aniplez but then switched over to Sacra Music in 2017. As for her music career, Hanazawa released her first debut single, "Hoshizora Destination" under Aniplex/Sony Entertainment Japan. She voices characters for anime series, movies, drama CDs, video games, and live action films while being signed with the agency Office Osawa. Kana Hanazawa is a fairly popular voice actor and singer who was born on Februin Tokyo, Japan.
